Site Location

ICC Sydney is located in Darling Harbour and can be easily accessed by all surrounding transport as shown in the legend. Surrounding the site, is a view of the harbor is provided creating an attracting view of the city. The site is very centralized in what is known as the heart of Sydney. Therefore, allowing easy access to parking and available transport.

Concept Development

The intended design is to create a small, unique, and luxurious all-in-one space that reflects who Dressed in Mink are as a brand. The aim is to provide a welcoming, friendly space showing the top-quality lashes provided by the company itself.

The design was inspired by the simplicity of a circle. The concept chosen was inspired by the client’s focus, being the circular shape of eyes. Repetitively rotating multiple circles around a center circle, it created a design pattern appearing to look like an eye (the initial inspiration).

Materiality

Keeping on the simplicity scale, I wanted to incorporate Dressed in Mink’s colour palette, such as Ashville Grey, Mary Rose and Black. The spatial planning centralises the display case and positions the makeup stations towards the back corners to allow curiosity to take over, creating the flow throughout the exhibition stand. On each side of the front wall podiums a T.V is place displaying a video advertisement of the company’s products. Positioned on the front two columns are poster advertisements with the logo panel hung at the rear of the stand.
